FIRST Research School

The format is that we will meet every 14th day and discuss a chapter in 

The Description Logic Handbook for up to 2 hours.

The study group will meet at RUC some weeks and ITU other weeks.

Prerequisite is that you should have a foundational understanding of 

(FO) logics but you need not know anything about description logic 

beforehand. We are interested in both the applications as well as the 

more theoretical aspects of DL.

The group is organized by two ph.d.-students from computer science, at RUC:

Jens Ulrik Hansen has a theoretic focus and comes from 

math/philosophy/logics.

Sine Zambach is a bioinformatician that works with a more applied view 

on logics.
